What is a Healthcare Associate Producer or AP? This is an ideal position for creative thinkers. APs research new technologies and solutions within the healthcare industry to develop editorial and educational news stories. Associate Producers create story angles and compose informative TV segments to help patients better understand and participate with healthcare professionals to improve outcomes. Target audiences are patients and medical professionals within thousands of Hospitals, Assisted Living Communities and Doctors offices. APs develop the story then transfer the story to the production team for further development. The Role of a Associate Producer?: To created new editorial and educational content for national broadcast. Identify educational grants through lead generation, qualification and winning grants. Identifies qualified stories with related evidence based research. Initiates education process by scheduling appointments with industry stakeholders; making initial presentation; understanding requirements and deadlines. Identifies the potential for educational grants with qualifying accounts. Closes grants by building rapport with potential account; explaining the opportunity to support educational content as well as production process and capabilities; overcoming objections; meet broadcast deadlines. Expands continued relationship with existing accounts by introducing new story angles and services; developing new opportunities for story development and support. Becomes fluent in target areas by monitoring industry news Recommends new products and services to Senior Producer by evaluating current product results; identifying needs to be filled. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
